Quetta General Population is a landrace cannabis accession from Quetta, the provincial headquarters and most populous city of Balochistan, Pakistan, sold by Coco Genes as LandraceWarden Quetta Balochistan under the LandraceWarden label.[1]
Geography
The listing places Quetta "to the north-east at Suleiman Mountains (extension of Hindu Kush ranges)" and describes the upper land as "extremely cold and hot".[1] It gives the site as "30° TO NORTH, 1,600 METERS ABOVE SEA LEVEL, HINDU KUSH EXTENSION"; only a bare latitude is stated, not a full coordinate pair, so none is entered here (see Talk).[1]
Collection Details
The listing is filed in the site's "LandraceWarden" product category as well as its general "Landrace-Seeds" category.[1] Text shared across the LandraceWarden-labelled listings describes the label as one that "originated from the ancestral origins of Cannabis plants" and works with "the indigenous hash cultivating tribes to protect and preserve the culture and the genetics" of landrace populations, naming "Hindu Kush and Himalayas" among its source regions in general terms.[1] Coco Genes, trading as Collector's Collective, sold the seed;[1] neither this listing nor the shared label text says that Coco Genes collected it itself.
Botanical Characteristics
The listing describes the population as having "a good leaf surface area, displaying classic BLD expressions", a sturdy structure with secondary branches needing no support while flowering, and "beautifully developed flower structure".[1] It reports most plants as medium to short in height, an average flowering time of nine weeks with a few plants flowering for up to eleven weeks maximum, and narrow-leafleted, elongated-branched plants as present but uncommon, with a greater calyx ratio than the broad-leafleted plants.[1] It reports a range of phenotype expression, with 85 percent of the population showing colouration during the flowering phase and some plants turning "a darkish purple shade" in its first two weeks.[1] It describes the inflorescence as large, with colourful bracts and heavy trichome coverage, and the aroma as a strong, acrid gasoline or fuel scent with phenol and a sour, grape-like note.[1]
