The locality lies in present-day Shimla District, Himachal Pradesh, India. Naturalis Biodiversity Center holds the sheet as catalogue L.1592669, and GBIF publishes it as occurrence 2513887840.[1]
Collection and locality
The printed Herbarium Schlagintweit from India and High Asia label gives Western Himálaya, province Símla, and locality Environs of Simla. It records a collection interval of 1–20 May 1856 and a height of 6,000–7,300 English feet.[2] The stated height range is approximately 1,829–2,225 m.
Specimen and identification
The label gives catalogue number 4927 and identifies the specimen as Cannabis sativa L.[2] The Naturalis occurrence record carries the institutional catalogue number L.1592669 and records the collector simply as Schlagintweit.[1]
Sequence data
Leaf tissue from this sheet was sampled for DNA. Wageningen University submitted the sample to the European Nucleotide Archive, which made it public as BioSample SAMEA115332549 on 20 February 2026; the BioSample gives the voucher as L.1592669, this sheet's barcode, and the tissue as Leaf.[3]
