KHA Kerala Chellakutti Reproduction is the seed that Khalifa Genetics sells under the name Kerala Chellakutti, reproduced from Kerala Chellakutti General Population, the seed that Coco Genes acquired from farmers in Kerala, India.[1]

Sourcing

Khalifa Genetics writes: "Our friend from the Collector’s Collective (Coco Genes) acquired the seeds directly from local Kerala farmers wanting to help preserve this endangered cultivar." It says that it culled the mutated, hermaphrodite and weak plants "while performing a controlled open pollination indoors".[1] ACE Seeds, which stocks the line, labels its seed "Landrace Strain (P2) open pollinated indoors to increase the sexual stability".[2]

Cultivation Details

The company calls the line a long-flowering tropical sativa with a strong flowering stretch, hard to grow indoors, that does well in a warm, wet greenhouse. It recommends 11 hours of light to 13 of darkness indoors and says that the plants only start producing trichomes around the 13th to 16th week of flowering.[1] ACE Seeds puts indoor flowering at 18 to 25 weeks and the outdoor harvest between early December and mid-January.[2]

Botanical Characteristics

The company says that the plants stand heavy rain and resist mould, and that their internodes are fairly short for a tropical sativa.[1]

Aroma

The company describes a spicy, peppery aroma with an underlying hazy note and no fruitiness.[1]

Effects

The company calls the effect long-lasting, energetic, uplifting and social, with no body stone or tiredness.[1]
