Baulbari General Population 2025 is a Domesticate landrace cannabis accession collected by Isabella of the Zomia Collective in West Bengal, India.

Geography

Baulbari is located in Jalpaiguri District, West Bengal, India, within the Maynaguri landrace cannabis growing area of the North Bengal Plains growing region.

Administratively, the area belongs to Maynaguri CD block in the sub-district of Jalpaiguri which itself belongs to the Jalpaiguri district of West Bengal state.

Collection Details

This accession was documented by Isabella in July 2025. A total of 65 seeds were given to Isabella by a local cannabis grower. The seeds come from an autochthonous, cultivated landrace cannabis population grown near Baulbari.

Cultivation Details

Cannabis is widely cultivated in the Maynaguri area. The grower who provided this accession operates within this broader context of widespread regional cultivation. Specific cultivation practices were not documented at time of collection.
