Vidal 1526 is a herbarium accession of Cannabis sativa collected at Sam Niou, 12 km from Xieng Khouang, Laos, on 5 April 1952 by Jean Eugène Vidal. The Muséum national d’Histoire naturelle holds the sheet as P06884260.[1]

The label, printed in full, gives Collect.: J. E. Vidal, No 1526, Lieu: Sam Niou, 12 km de Xieng Khouang, Prov.: Xieng Khouang, Pays: Laos and Date: 5 avril 1952.[2] The catalogue gives the same locality, the date as 5 April 1952 and the collector as Vidal, J.E., number 1526.[1]
Recorded local name and use
The label gives Nom vernac.: khan sa and, under Observ. et usages, chanvre mèo (Meo hemp).[2]
Cultivation observation
The label gives the vegetation and soil as cult. (cultivated).[2] The catalogue repeats Cult.[1]
Specimen and identification
The label gives the biological type as arbrisseau dressé de 2 m (an erect shrub 2 m tall); the catalogue repeats it.[2][1] The sheet carries three leafy stems in flower. The label names the family Cannabinaceae and the plant Cannabis sativa L.; the catalogue names Querido as the determiner.[2][1]
