VIB Jamaican Lambsbread IBL is a landrace cannabis accession recording the reproduction of the Vibes Collective's Jamaican Lambsbread that Rahan began and Roms continued, an inbred line in Roms's own description. It is grown from the collection documented at Jamaican Lambsbread General Population.[1][2]
Cultivation Details
Roms's account of February 2023 gives the line's generations: "Rahan did the clean selection and F2 and F3, then F4 generation by Volcanik and Upok." OvergrowDaWorld then "did F5 with some selected F4" that Roms had sent him, "a special batch from purple fruity mango mother that Upok had reserved"; Roms grew the F6 "three years ago and now fresh F7".[1] He described the line as "from just one purple fruity mango mom of 20 from F3".[2] In February 2026 he listed seed of "JLB P7".[3] Roms also gives seed of the line away through ATAO Genetics: its list of March 2023 includes "Free Jamaican Lambsbread (Vibes Collective) F7",[4] and its website named a P8 among its free seed in October 2026.[5]
Botanical Characteristics
Rahan's report describes a "Pure sativa with narrow leaves" whose seeds are "of medium size, with brown colour and black spots/stripes". It notes "some hermaphroditic individuals and few males in the line (1 on 15 in the first attempt, 4 in 35 in the second)" and says that it "takes a good amount of 14 weeks of flowering to obtain the first mature buds, and at least 16 weeks to be sure".[6] Roms wrote that despite selection against intersex and hermaphrodite traits "the recessive is strong".[1]
