Full record-page layout for Research Item pages (2026-08-10 redesign; formerly a
compact card — that card now lives at Template:PortalResearchCard and drives the
Portal:Research feed). Renders the page as a structured bibliographic record:
header strip (kicker, date, type badge), title, byline, venue line, summary prose with
Source/DOI/PDF buttons, an infobox of the structured fields, an automatic
related-records section (same country, else same growing region, via #ask
+ Template:RecordRow), and a provenance footer.
Parameters: date, paper_name, paper_kind,
year, authors, venue, doi,
source, pdf, country,
growing_region, growing_area, appellation,
summary, image; optional provenance
record_created and editor. The infobox image falls back to
the page's own Has image annotation (an uploaded File) when no
image parameter is passed. Place values link only when the target page
exists. SMW emission stays in each page's hidden annotation block — this template sets
nothing. Styles live in Template:ResearchItem/styles.css.
