Since 7 October 2026 every request to landrace.wiki passes through Cloudflare, a security service brought in after a denial-of-service attack made the site unreachable. The Privacy policy now explains what this means for your data.

Full record-page layout for News Item pages (2026-08-10 redesign; formerly a compact card). Renders the page as a structured event record: header strip (kicker, date, category badge, campaign), headline, summary prose with a source button, an infobox of the structured fields, an automatic related-records section (same campaign, else same country, via #ask + Template:RecordRow), and a provenance footer.

Parameters (all as staged by the batch pipeline): date, category, title/headline, summary, source, archive_url, part_of_campaign, country, admin1, admin2, locality, coordinates, growing_region, agency, plants, hectares, image_file, image, image_alt; optional provenance record_created and editor. The thumbnail comes from image_file when it is set: a bare local file name, with no File: prefix and no wikitext, for example image_file=Example photo 2026.jpg. That renders the file at 320px with image_alt as its alt text, and gives an og:image it can resolve. Failing that the older image parameter is used, and failing that the page's own Has image URL annotation (og:image hotlink backfill). A hotlinked URL never reaches og:image: WikiSEO resolves that field as a local file and falls back to the wiki logo, so only image_file puts the real picture on a shared link. Place values link only when the target page exists; quantities render with a source-attribution note. When the publisher's URL has gone dead, archive_url adds an "Archived copy" button beside the source button; the original source is kept, never replaced. SMW emission stays in each page's hidden annotation block — this template sets nothing. The feed cards on Portal:Current Events and the Main Page are separate templates and unaffected. Styles live in Template:NewsItem/styles.css.
