Identifier

The accession identifier is TLT-PHL-KAL-0120220002, built from the holder, the ISO 3166-1 alpha-3 country, the province segment, the month, the year and the sequence number.

Holder segment TLT stands for The Landrace Team.
Year 2022 is the earliest year the listing is attested (Wayback Machine and Common Crawl capture, 3 July 2022). No source gives a collection year, so, as for other vendor accessions without one, the identifier takes the first attested year. It is a lower bound, not a collection date, and moves if an earlier capture or catalogue is found.
Month 01 is the placeholder used when the year comes from first attestation.
Province segment KAL. TLT says "Buscalan, Kalinga", so the locality is Buscalan and the province Kalinga. The province segment is KAL. The elevation range is not entered in the infobox, for the same reason as on the Buscalan Kalinga accession: the listing does not say whose elevation it is.

TLT's listing at https://www.tltseeds.com/violeta-kalinga/ was read from Common Crawl captures. The capture of 6 October 2024 is the text used here; a capture of 2 March 2024 also exists. A grower's comment printed on the listing is not used.

Every statement about the line is The Landrace Team's own account of its stock and is attributed to it. No collector, farmer, collection site or collection date is named in the listing, and no independent source for the line's origin was found.

Typing

Classification: Landrace. TLT's listing reads "Genetics: domesticate from Buscalan, Kalinga": a cultivated line of the village of Buscalan. That places the source of the line with the village's growers; the listing does not say how the seller obtained the seed. The accession is classified Landrace, by inference from the seller's account, which names no grower or date. The account has not been checked against other sources. Forum posters have questioned the seller's accounts of where some of its lines came from (see The Landrace Team). An earlier version of this note classified the line as Other, on the ground that a vendor listing does not establish the class of the source population.
Sourcing type: Unknown provenance. The listing gives no chain of custody from the source population to the seed on sale.
Accession type is left empty: the listing does not say whether the seed on sale is the original collection or a reproduction of it.
Traits. Flowering times, heights and aromas in the infobox are the vendor's figures.

Relation to Buscalan Kalinga

TLT lists Violeta Kalinga and Buscalan Kalinga as two lines, both from Buscalan. Whether they come from one collection or two is not settled by the listings, so they are separate accessions with no relationship entered.

The specification line gives flowering as "10-15 weeks max"; the prose says "from 10 to 15 and 16 weeks maximum". The infobox enters 10 to 15 weeks.
