The Press Information Bureau release, the cited source, is marked "09 SEP 2026 11:05AM by PIB Delhi". It says the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence "has conducted eight significant operations across the country in last fortnight". The earliest dated operation is "Previously, on 26.08.2026" and the latest is "operation on 08.09.2026". The airport seizures are placed "in last 15 days" with no dates. This news item carries 9 September 2026, the date of the release, not the date of any single operation.

Place

The release names the places of the seizures as "Old Dhamtari Road near Raipur", "near Patna", "near Ludhiana in Punjab", "Gorakhpur Railway Station" and "Hyderabad and Bengaluru airports". It names one state, Punjab. The summary of this news item names Chhattisgarh, Bihar, Punjab and Uttar Pradesh, the states of the places the release gives. As the operations lie in several states, this news item carries no state and no map pin.

Quantities

The release gives the airport seizures two ways. Its opening paragraph gives "24.5 kg high-grade hydroponic cannabis"; its airport paragraph gives "approximately 24.6 kg high potency cannabis" and does not use the word hydroponic. This news item carries 24.5 kg and calls the cannabis hydroponic.

Attribution

The origins and routes in this news item come from the release alone. For the charas at Gorakhpur it says "Investigations indicated that the charas had been smuggled from Nepal". For the airport seizures it says the passengers were "arriving from Hanoi, Vietnam and Bangkok, Thailand at Hyderabad and Bengaluru airports".

Category

As a rollup of eight operations the release could sit under Report. It describes each seizure as an interception of a vehicle, of train passengers or of air passengers, for example "intercepted a suspected vehicle near Ludhiana in Punjab", so this news item is filed under Trafficking and covers all eight operations.
