The acehkini report places the field in "kawasan hutan lindung di Kabupaten Nagan Raya" and names no kecamatan or village. The West Aceh police chief is quoted as saying that the information from the December 2022 case "mengarah ke Kawasan Beutong Ateuh". Kompas TV, reporting the April 2023 operation in the Beutong Ateuh mountains on 13 April 2023, says that the West Aceh police had destroyed "32 hektar ladang ganja di kawasan tersebut dengan lokasi yang berbeda pada awal bulan Maret lalu". This news item files the operation under Beutong Ateuh on those two statements. The force was Polres Aceh Barat, from the neighbouring regency where the case began; the field lay in Nagan Raya.
