Suvarnakoses 1437 is a herbarium accession of Cannabis sativa collected in the Si Than forest in Loei Province, north-eastern Thailand, on 18 March 1958 by P. Suvarnakoses. The Forest Herbarium (BKF) in Bangkok holds the sheet as accession BKF 16860, barcode SN 009253.[1]
Collection and locality
The Forest Herbarium's Flora of Thailand label gives the locality as NE: Loei, Si Than forest. and the date as 18 March 1958. It leaves the altitude blank.[2] An older printed Thai form mounted beside it has faded past reading.[2]
Recorded local name
The label gives the local name as Kan cha.[2]
Cultivation observation
The label describes the plant as a Cultivated herb, uncommon on lowland, with Leaves serrate at margin and Flowers white.[2] The catalogue gives the habitat as Uncommon on lowland.[1]
Specimen and identification
The label and the catalogue name the plant Cannabis sativa L.[2][1] No determiner is named. Suvarnakoses 213 is an earlier cannabis gathering by the same collector, made at Khiri Wong in 1951.
