Skatschkow s.n., Beijing is a herbarium accession of Cannabis sativa labelled as from Pekin (Beijing), China, collected by Skatschkow and distributed by the botanic garden of Saint Petersburg. The sheet is undated. The Herbarium of ETH Zurich holds it as ZT-00142968.[1]
Collection and locality
The label reads Ex herbario horti Petropolitani. (from the herbarium of the Saint Petersburg garden), Cannabis sativa L. and Pekin Skatschkow.[2] A stamp of the Botanische Sammlungen der Eidgenössischen Technischen Hochschule marks the sheet as ETH Zurich's, and a skull-and-crossbones stamp records that it was treated with poison against insects.[2] The catalogue names the collector Skatschkow, with no country, place or date.[1]
Specimen and identification
