A chapter on women arrested for trafficking marijuana in Cali and Valle del Cauca between 1950 and 1960, drawn from the Cali press and reports of agents of the SIC security service. It reports arrests such as one in 1957 where twelve papeletas of marijuana and seed were found mixed with sand in a bag, a plantation of Cali and Palmira carriers placed near Buga by SIC agents, and a seller who said in 1954 that she had had a plantation on the banks of the Cauca. Its summary of 1960s cultivation in Valle del Cauca, Caldas and other departments comes from Sáenz Rovner (2007).
