Rediff, relaying a Press Trust of India report on a customs statement, reported that Delhi Customs intercepted two Indian passengers on the basis of profiling at Indira Gandhi International Airport on 28 October, each arriving on a separate flight from Bangkok. The statement says X-ray screening and a search of their baggage found 26 polythene pouches, 13 in each of two black trolley bags, holding 26.67 kg of a green substance that a diagnostic test indicated was marijuana or hydroponic weed. The statement puts its value at Rs 9.33 crore and says both passengers were arrested under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act.
