The National Crime Agency reported that a 45-year-old woman from Devon was jailed for 25 months on Wednesday 14 October 2026 after admitting smuggling 51.2 kg of cannabis from Thailand to the United Kingdom. Border Force officers had arrested her at Heathrow Airport on 6 July 2026 on her arrival from Bangkok with the cannabis in two suitcases, and she pleaded guilty at Isleworth Crown Court in August. The agency put the street value at at least £512,000.
