Polres Aceh Tenggara seizes 708.82 g of cannabis and arrests three at Darul Hasanah

Poskota Sumatera reported that a team from the narcotics unit of the Aceh Tenggara district police, working with the criminal investigation unit of the Lawe Alas sector police, detained three men in a resident's garden at Desa Makmur Jaya in Darul Hasanah subdistrict at about 5 pm on Thursday 27 August 2026. According to the report officers acted on information from residents concerned about cannabis distribution in the village, and at the site they found a brown rucksack containing packets of cannabis and a further packet wrapped in brown paper hidden behind a rock. The packets weighed 310.86 g, 120.12 g, 254.3 g, 12.14 g and 11.4 g, giving a total of 708.82 g, and officers also seized 20,000 rupiah in cash, the rucksack and 57 sheets of brown paper believed to have been used for packaging. The three men, aged 47, 51 and 32 and resident in Darul Hasanah and Ketambe subdistricts, were taken with the material to the district police for investigation.
