Mumbai police seize 10.09 kg of charas at Bandra Terminus and arrest a supplier in Bihar
The Worli unit of the Mumbai Crime Branch Anti-Narcotics Cell reported intercepting a man near Bandra Terminus in Bandra East on 17 August 2026 and seizing 10.09 kilogrammes of charas, which police valued at about 100.9 million rupees. A case was registered at Nirmal Nagar police station under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act 1985. Police said the investigation led them to a supplier at Raxaul in East Champaran district of Bihar, who was arrested there on 23 August with the assistance of local police as he was allegedly preparing to cross into Nepal. The Crime Branch said it was continuing to trace the wider supply chain.
