Two arrested with 13.9 kg of cannabis at the Suo roadblock, Busia

Officers on patrol stopped a motorcycle at the Suo roadblock on the Busia-Kisumu highway and found eight packages of cannabis strapped to the body of the pillion passenger, according to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations. A further search of a black travel bag uncovered more packages, bringing the total to 13.9 kg with an estimated street value of KSh 417,000. Two suspects were held in police custody pending arraignment. The recovered cannabis and the motorcycle were detained as exhibits.
