Anti-Narcotics Unit seizes seven sacks of cannabis in Lang'ata house raid, Nairobi

Detectives from the Anti-Narcotics Unit at DCI headquarters recovered seven sacks of cannabis from servant quarters at a house in Maasai Estate, along Kitengela Road in Lang'ata. The Directorate of Criminal Investigations said the raid followed intelligence linking a group of individuals to narcotics distribution in the area. A male suspect who met officers at the property escaped through a back window while purportedly searching for keys, according to the DCI, after which a female suspect admitted the detectives to the premises. Officers also recovered two weighing scales, a roll of yellow cellotape, two cartons of Rizla rolling papers, a mobile phone and assorted documents, which were moved to the DCI headquarters exhibits store. The escaped suspect remained at large.
