Police Jungle Operations Team reports destroying 16,100 cannabis plants and a seedling bed in the Moruga Forest Reserve at Marac

The Trinidad Guardian reported that the Police Service's Special Intelligence Unit Jungle Operations Team, with the Firearms Trafficking Interdiction Unit, Moruga Police, the Southern Division Task Force, the Air Support Unit and the Regiment Special Forces, went about two kilometres into the Moruga Forest Reserve at Marac. The officers found seven cannabis fields covering about eleven lots, with an estimated 16,100 fully grown plants, a seedling bed of around 1,500 seedlings and a campsite.
