Police destroy ₱2.25M worth of marijuana in Kibungan and Bakun, Benguet

Joint operatives of the Benguet Police Provincial Office, the Regional Intelligence Division of Police Regional Office Cordillera Administrative Region, Regional Intelligence Unit-14, and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Cordillera regional office destroyed cannabis plantations in Barangay Tacadang, Kibungan and Barangay Kayapa, Bakun on 24 December 2025. Approximately 11,250 fully grown plants with a reported standard drug price of ₱2.25 million were uprooted. The operation was conducted by the Kibungan and Bakun municipal police stations, the 1st Benguet Provincial Mobile Force Company, and the Benguet Provincial Drug Enforcement and Intelligence Units. The raid was reported alongside same-day operations in Kalinga as part of continuing PRO CAR eradication activity during the 2025 holiday season.
