Sitalkuchi police seize about 15 kg of ganja at the Dharla bridge checkpoint and arrest four

Uttarbanga Sambad reported that Sitalkuchi police seized about 15 kg of ganja and arrested four men from other states. The paper said that at night four men were travelling from Sitalkuchi towards Mathabhanga in a vehicle with a Bihar number plate, and that police stopped it at the checkpoint beside the Dharla bridge. The four were held because their answers were inconsistent, and a subdivisional police officer and the officer in charge reached the spot with a police force. Seven packets holding about 15 kg of ganja were seized from inside the rear seat in the subdivisional police officer's presence. Under questioning the four said they were taking the ganja from Dinhata towards Bihar, and the vehicle was seized.
