National Narcotics Control Commission publishes the 2019 China Drug Situation Report, recording 268 customs cannabis cases

The National Narcotics Control Commission Office released its annual drug situation report for 2019. Registered cannabis users are given as 24,000, unchanged year on year. China Customs is recorded as opening 268 cases of cannabis smuggled into the country during the year, with 252.1 kg seized. The report attributes the trend to legalisation in Western countries drawing in foreign employees, returning students and buyers in the entertainment industry via international courier.
