Yecheng police uproot 61 wild cannabis plants from a housing-compound green belt

Shaanxi Legal Network, in a report carried on Toutiao, said that on 18 June 2026 officers of the Dongcheng police station of the Yecheng County public security bureau, on a door-to-door visit, noticed suspected wild cannabis in the green belt of a housing compound. After expert identification the narcotics team confirmed the plant as cannabis growing naturally, with sowing by people ruled out, and uprooted 61 plants. The police then ran a short anti-drug talk for onlookers and property staff. The report describes the county's June survey as scanning forest, farmland, remote ravines and town green belts by drone.
