Ketei village headman finds cannabis farm on Totoya, Lau

Ketei village headman Yanuyanu Uludole discovered a cannabis farm on the boundary between Ketei and Tovu villages on Totoya Island in the Lau Group while inspecting a recently burnt pine plantation. Uludole uprooted the plants himself, reported the discovery to village chaplain Reverend Pajimi Vakaloloma, and informed police at Naroi station on Moala. Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro confirmed that an officer would travel to Totoya to investigate. Uludole said a previous farm had been found in the area years earlier, with the cultivator subsequently jailed.
