National Narcotics Control Commission publishes the 2015 China Drug Situation Report, recording an 882 per cent rise in cannabis area eradicated

The National Narcotics Control Commission Office published its annual drug situation report for 2015. It records 1,882 mu and 1,480,000 cannabis plants found and eradicated nationally, which the report gives as rises of 882 per cent by area and 87.9 per cent by plant count on the previous year. The report also notes that indoor and greenhouse cannabis cultivation had appeared in isolated localities, and gives 8.7 tonnes of cannabis and cannabis resin seized nationally across 1,158 manufacture and sale cases. Figures are the commission's own.
