Wu-li-pu General Population 1906 is a historical seed accession of Cannabis sativa that the United States Department of Agriculture received from Manchuria, in northeastern China, on 21 June 1907 and numbered plant introduction (PI) 21063.[1] No seed of the lot survives. The National Plant Germplasm System, whose database carries the department's introductions, says the accession "no longer exists and can not be requested".[1]
The lot
Frank N. Meyer, the department's agricultural explorer, sent a consignment from Manchuria received on 21 June 1907. In the printed inventory this lot is his number 711a, from Wu-li-pu, "Said to be a strong, good hemp".[2] The entry before it is his hemp from Wu-lu-kai (NPG-CHN-UNK-0119070001).[2]
