Khammouane is a historical cannabis growing area in Khammouane Province, Laos, on the Mekong opposite Northeastern Thailand. It is part of the Central Laos growing region. The Real Seed Company writes that ganja growing around towns such as Thakhek, the provincial capital, grew rapidly through the 1980s.[1]
Cultivation
The Real Seed Company writes that ganja growing around towns such as Thakhek increased in the 1980s, after crackdowns across the Mekong in northern Isan, and that most of it has since moved into the highlands of Bolikhamsai.[1]
