Niti Valley (Chamoli) 2021 is a seed accession of the cannabis line that the Indian Landrace Exchange lists in its genetic library as Niti Valley (Chamoli). The group describes it as a short-season line of the Niti valley, inside the Nanda Devi Biosphere Reserve on the Indian border with Tibet, 18 km beyond Malari village.[1]
Geography
The entry gives the valley's altitude as 3,300 to 3,800 metres and says that it is under snow from late October to early May, that it is guarded by the army, and that visitors need a permit from the sub-divisional magistrate at Joshimath.[1]
Botanical Characteristics
According to the group, the plants that grow there naturally finish within 10 weeks, stay under 6 or 7 feet, yield little, and form foxtail strings of brightly coloured bracts with very uniform fruity, floral and candy-like smells.[1]
