Lolab Valley 2021 is a seed accession of the cannabis line that the Indian Landrace Exchange lists in its genetic library as Lolab Valley. The group describes it as a short-season line of the Lolab valley in the Kupwara district of Kashmir, at the line of control between India and Pakistan.[1]
Geography
The entry places the valley at 34° N, between about 4,000 and 10,000 feet, and describes it as very humid all year. It says that the plants grow mostly in the shade of the valley's pine and fir forests.[1]
Botanical Characteristics
The group describes two types in the population, one taller with thinner leaves and the other more compact with broader leaves. It reports a deep red stem from the onset of flowering, coloured sap in about 18 to 20 per cent of the plants, open buds that finish in under 50 days, white pollen in the males and a lemon smell in every plant, with lavender or pine. It calls the effect sedative.[1]
