Andhra Bhang 2016 is a seed accession of the cannabis line that the Indian Landrace Exchange lists in its genetic library as Andhra Bhang. The group describes it as a strain of the bhang type, also called jungli, from the Bay of Bengal region of Andhra Pradesh, used for bhang edibles and drinks as well as for smoking.[1]
Collection Details
According to the entry, the seed was collected at Vizag (Visakhapatnam) in 2016 from a sample of dried flowers.[1]
Cultivation Details
The group describes a fast-growing, vigorous plant that spreads as wide as it grows tall, suited mostly to growing outdoors and in greenhouses. It gives a flowering time of more than 20 weeks, or 18 to 20 weeks on average, for moderate yields. It describes the climate of the region as wet and humid all year, with most of the rain in July, August and September.[1]
Botanical Characteristics
The entry lists mostly floral aromas with sour and hash-like flavours, and a cerebral effect that can last for more than an hour.[1]
