Hryniewiecki s.n. is a herbarium accession of Cannabis sativa gathered in a grassy field near Chalaubani in Kakheti, eastern Georgia, on 30 July 1900 (17 July in the Julian calendar) by B. Hryniewiecki. The Moscow University Herbarium holds the sheet as MW0661549.[1]
Collection and locality
The printed label is that of the herbarium of Countess E. P. Sheremeteva (Гербарій графини Е. П. Шереметевой), with the printed lines Transcaucasia orientalis., Kachetia. and Kardanach., the last struck through by hand. It is completed In campo graminoso prope Czalaubań (in a grassy field near Chalaubani, in Polish spelling) and dated 17/30 VII. 1900., the Julian and Gregorian days.[2] The catalogue gives the collector, the place and the Julian date, 17 July 1900.[1] Kardanakhi, the struck-out village, lies about 7 km from Chalaubani.
Specimen and identification
The sheet carries a large, densely leafy, branched top laid on the diagonal, and an empty paper envelope at the right.[2] The label names the plant Cannabis sativa L. and is signed legit and teste (collected; vouched for) by B. Hryniewiecki; the catalogue files it under the same name.[2][1]
