Grierson 2029b is a herbarium accession of a male plant of Cannabis sativa subsp. sativa collected among shrubs on a dry hillside by a stream above the town of Tashigang, now Trashigang, in eastern Bhutan, on 18 June 1979 by Andrew John Charles Grierson and David Geoffrey Long. The Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh holds the sheet as E00150667.[1][2]
Collection and locality
The typed Flora of Bhutan label gives the locality as Tashigang, stream above town with the coordinates 27°19' 91°34', the habitat Amongst shrubs on dry hillside, the altitude c. 1340 m and the date 18 June 1979. It is signed Coll. A.J.C. Grierson & D.G. Long, number 2029b.[3] The catalogue gives the collectors, the number as 2029B and the date, and no locality.[1] The infobox stores the label's coordinates at two decimals.
Description
The label's description is Male plant.[3] The female plant of the same stand is Grierson 2029a (1979), whose label gives a Nepali and an eastern Bhutanese name; this label gives none.
Specimen and identification
The label and GBIF determine the plant as Cannabis sativa L. subsp. sativa.[3][2] Edinburgh publishes the sheet image under a Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike licence.[3]
