Bürger s.n. is a herbarium accession of Cannabis sativa from Japan, catalogued under the name of Heinrich Bürger and undated. The Naturalis Biodiversity Center in Leiden holds the sheet as L 0420305.[1] No image of the sheet is published; this page reports the Naturalis catalogue.
Collection and locality
The Naturalis catalogue transcribes the sheet's data as the collector Bürger, H, with no number, and the place Japonia. (Japan), with no date.[1] GBIF gives the same collector and place.[2] Two more sheets in Leiden carry Bürger's name and Japan alone: Bürger s.n. (by 1858), L 0420296 and Bürger s.n. (by 1858), L 0420304.
Specimen and identification
The Naturalis catalogue determines the specimen as Cannabis sativa L. var. angustifolia;[1] GBIF files it under Cannabis sativa L. alone.[2] Naturalis holds the lectotype of the variety, another Japanese sheet: Siebold s.n. (by 1866). Naturalis publishes no image of the sheet, and its label has not been read for this page.
