Jamaican Lambsbread General Population is a landrace cannabis accession of the Jamaican Lambsbread line kept by members of the Vibes Collective. Members trace the seed to the singer Bushman and to Rasta growers in Jamaica; their accounts of how and when it was obtained differ.[1][2]
Origin
In April 2018 the member Roms wrote, in French, that the seed had passed to GrowDan from Bushman, of the Trenchtown community in Kingston, in an agreement between Rastas on the sole condition that it never make money.[3] His account of February 2023 says that "Dan collected with the singer Bushman on a backstage concert in Martinique", that Rahan "was the first to explore and reproduce the seeds", and dates the start of the story to "early 2000".[1] Asked in the same thread why the line carries its name, Roms wrote that Bushman had given it "as oldschool sacred line named lambsbread by them, trenchtown community, Kingston".[4] A report by Rahan, which Roms posted in the thread without a date, says the line "was gifted to our small collective last year", that it "comes straight from rasta communities in the Carribean" and that "The history can be tracked back to the 70’s in Jamaica."[2] Mustafunk wrote in 2020 that the line "was originally a present from Bushman to GrowDan and the other members, and from GrowDan to Rahan".[5]
Dates
No account gives a collection year that the others share. Opening a thread on International Cannagraphic Magazine in July 2011, jahgreenlabel headed his post "jamaican lambsbread line 1960".[6] Roms dated the story to "early 2000" in 2023,[1] and wrote in 2024 that in 2002 the line "wasn’t really collected yet".[7] In 2026 he wrote of "The 1960 or '68 denomination" that "one could also say 1845 to 1921".[8] The accession therefore carries no collection date.
Collection Details
Members describe the seed as a gift made on condition that the pure line is not sold. Roms wrote in April 2018 that it had been "sadly sold in pure form recently" and that "the Rasta and our good conscience don't wanna see money from its pure form".[9] No collector is named beyond GrowDan, and no place of growing is given beyond Jamaica.
Derived material
Two reproductions kept by members of the collective are documented separately: the line Rahan began and Roms continued, VIB Jamaican Lambsbread IBL, and jahgreenlabel's parallel reproduction, VIB Jamaican Lambsbread Reproduction.

Elle fut transmise à GrowDan des mains de Bushman de la communauté de Trenchtown à Kingston. Un deal entre rasta à la seule condition qu'elle ne génère jamais d'argent!!! C'est donc une question d'honneur pour le VibesCollective
