Evidentiary scope
The article rests on the RSC listing for Highland Lao #7 and on the Kwik Seeds listing of the same line. Kwik Seeds is the shop RSC calls its other site (RSC, Hemp & Multipurpose). The listings place the line in the highlands of Bolikhamsai and date the sourcing to 2025. They name no village or farmer. The history of cultivation along the Mekong is RSC's account and has not been checked against other sources; the article attributes it. The conservation priority is High; the basis is below. Georeferencing
The listings name only Bolikhamsai; RSC gives a latitude of 18° N. The coordinate is the label point of Bolikhamsai Province in OpenStreetMap (relation 5831655), rounded to two decimal places: 18.58, 104.15, in Viengthong District. Conservation priority
High. The same Bolikhamsai population as the other Highland Lao accessions, under the regional pressures recorded on Talk:RSC-LAO-CHA-0120240001 and Talk:RSC-LAO-VIE-0120220001: enforcement after the China-Laos Railway and the collapse in demand following the 2022 Thai legalisation. The rating rests on those regional pressures, not on a statement about this population. Source discrepancies
- Photograph. Kwik Seeds: "The photo shows our Highland Lao #4 accession from Bolkihamsai outdoors in mid-July at 40° N." RSC carried the same sentence and photograph when its catalogue was read at 15:54 UTC on 16 September 2026. When the listing was read again at 22:55 UTC that day, RSC showed a new photograph with the sentence "The photo shows an inflorescence of our Highland Lao #7 accession from Bolkihamsai outdoors in California." The article follows RSC's current listing. The Kwik Seeds photograph is not used, because Kwik Seeds says it shows a different accession.
- Wording. RSC now opens the history sentence with "Historically, the traditional ganja cultivations"; its earlier text and Kwik Seeds read "The historical ganja cultivations".

Archived versions
The Wayback Machine holds four versions of the RSC listing, from June 2025 to April 2026. All were read, and all give the 2025 sourcing. All four carry the older photograph note ("our Highland Lao #4 accession … in mid-July at 40° N") and the older history wording, as Kwik Seeds still does. The file in this page's infobox, RSC Highland Lao 7 1.jpg, was uploaded on 17 September 2026 from therealseedcompany.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/07/Highland-Lao.jpg, which RSC had put on its Highland Lao #7 listing the day before with the caption "The photo shows an inflorescence of our Highland Lao #7 accession from Bolkihamsai outdoors in California".
The same file appears in RSC's own post of 7 July 2026, New freebies: Turkish Hemp (12s) + Highland Lao #6 (5s), one of four images under the sentence "The images are from one of our Bolikhamsai accessions (Highland Lao #4) outdoors in California". RSC therefore gives the same photograph to two accessions ten weeks apart, and neither statement explains the other.
Nothing on this page is changed on that basis. What is recorded is that the caption rests on the later of two RSC statements about one file, and that the earlier one names a different accession. Photograph conflict: documented and flagged
Éloïse ruled on 18 September 2026 that accessions listed by companies other than Zomia are documented, not harmonised. The infobox caption now gives both of RSC's statements about this photograph, and the article adds, cited, that RSC's post of 7 July 2026 gives it as Highland Lao #4. The conflict is flagged with {{disputed}}, which links here and files the page in Category:Unresolved disputes. The photograph is also in the gallery of RSC-LAO-BOL-0120220001, with the same flag, and its file page now records both captions and both pages.
