Stung Kaeo is a landrace cannabis appellation in the Kampot growing area, covering Stueng Kaev commune in Tuek Chhou district, Kampot Province, Cambodia. Police destroyed cannabis plots in the commune's hills in 2014 and 2017,[1][2] and a seed lot was collected there in 2026.

Geography

Phnom Chros Kruoch, a mountain in the commune, is 7 km from Phnom Thlan Muroi in Chhuk district.[1] Khmer Times placed the plots raided on it in 2014 on the side of Kamchay Mountain.[3]

Cultivation

In August 2014 two bamboo harvesters led 10 military police on a three-hour climb to the top of Phnom Chros Kruoch, where they destroyed two farms of 250 and 273 plants growing on state land. No growers were present.[1] In 2017 Tuek Chhou district police destroyed 107 plants that had been grown in forest at the foot of a mountain in the commune, after villagers farming nearby reported them.[2]

A landrace general population, Stung Kaeo General Population 2026, was collected in the commune on the KHME05 expedition on 12 March 2026.
