Bokeo General Population 2021 is a landrace cannabis accession from northern Laos which The Real Seed Company (RSC) gave away as Bokeo seed in 2021.[1] RSC describes it as a ganja domesticate from the Mekong region of northern Laos.[1] RSC's listing for Bokeo #2, a line it sourced in 2022, describes that line as a distinct type from its earlier Bokeo offering, hence the number in its name.[2]
Geography
RSC's announcement of April 2021 places the line in the Mekong region of northern Laos.[1] The announcement of the same day on Kwik Seeds, the shop RSC calls its other site,[3] says north Laos.[4] RSC's listing for Bokeo #2 glosses the name as the Bokeo region of northwest Laos, immediately east of the Mekong.[2]
Neither announcement names a district, village or farmer, and neither gives a latitude.
Collection Details
RSC gave the line away on 8 April 2021 as ex-stock freebie seed, twelve seeds with any order. It reported the seed at about 40 per cent viability, and its Kwik Seeds announcement of the same day gave the same figure.[1][4]
Neither announcement dates or places the collection, names a collector, or gives a sourcing line of the kind RSC's catalogue listings carry.[1][4]
Botanical Characteristics
RSC reported in April 2021 that the seed was producing healthy plants with a delicate structure and heavily serrated leaflets; its Kwik Seeds announcement of the same day described vigorous plants with a delicate structure and sharply serrated leaflets.[1][4] Neither announcement gives a height, a flowering time, an aroma or an effect, and neither describes the resin or the smoke.
