Kung 2091 is a herbarium accession of Cannabis sativa collected at Changchailingtzu, by Chingpohu (Jingpo Lake), now in Heilongjiang, China, at 300 m on 13 August 1931 by H. W. Kung. The Institute of Botany, Chinese Academy of Sciences in Beijing holds the sheet as PE 00557870[1].
Collection and locality
The field label, a typed Flora of China form, gives the number K.2091, the date 13/8/1931, the locality Changchailingtzu, Chingpohu, Kirin, the altitude 300m., the family Moraceae and the collector H.W.Kung. The label of the Herbarium Academiae Nationalis Pekinensis reads Kirin: Chingpohu, Changchailingtzu, Aug. 13, 1931 and Leg. H.W.Kung (2091). Det. W.Y.Hsia, and a tag gives the collector's name in full, Hsien-Wu Kung.[2] The catalogue gives the collector, number, year and Jilin.[1]
Specimen and identification
The sheet carries a tall male plant with its roots, palmate leaves and a large branched panicle. The herbarium label names it Cannabis sativa Linn., determined by W. Y.
