Urgam Valley 2021 is a seed accession of the cannabis line that the Indian Landrace Exchange lists in its genetic library as Urgam Valley. The group describes it as a line of the Urgam valley, a group of villages and pilgrimage sites off the Badrinath road in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand.[1] The online shop Full Power Selections, which sells the group's books and many of its lines, lists it as Urgam Valley, Chamoli, in stock when checked on 21 October 2026.[2]
Collection Details
The entry names the two main collection sites as the villages of Devgram and Basa. It says that cannabis is grown there among amaranth and that, rather than sowing seed each year, the villagers let the plants come up on their own.[1]
Botanical Characteristics
The group describes a very varied population of plants 10 to 14 feet tall, with strong side branching, narrow leaflets and separated, foxtailed bracts in bright colours, mostly smelling of fruit with pine, floral, spice or incense notes. It gives altitudes of 2,200 to 2,700 metres and a flowering time of about 11 to 13 weeks, finishing at the end of November outdoors.[1]
