Bunchuai 1208 is a herbarium accession of Cannabis sativa collected on Doi Chiang Dao in Chiang Mai Province, northern Thailand, on 18 November 1962 by K. Bunchuai. The Forest Herbarium (BKF) in Bangkok holds the sheet as accession BKF 57755, barcode SN 009249.[1]
Collection and locality
The typed Flora of Thailand label of the Forest Herbarium gives the locality as N., Chiang Mai, Doi Chiang Dao and the date as Nov.18,62. It leaves the altitude blank.[2] The catalogue gives the major area as Chiang Mai.[1] A packet on the sheet is marked K. Bunchuai; 1208.[2]
Cultivation observation
The label describes the plant as a Herb, common in plantation, frts. black.[2]
Specimen and identification
The label spells the name Canabis sativa Linn.[2] The catalogue records the plant as Cannabis sativa L.[1] No determiner is named. Bunchuai 30 is a later cannabis gathering by the same collector, made on Phu Luang in Loei in 1966.
