Bunchuai 30 is a herbarium accession of Cannabis sativa collected on Phu Luang in Loei Province, north-eastern Thailand, on 5 September 1966 by K. Bunchuai. The Naturalis Biodiversity Center holds a sheet as catalogue L.1592636[1], published by GBIF as preserved specimen occurrence 2513887884.[2] The Forest Herbarium (BKF) in Bangkok holds the gathering on two further sheets under accession BKF 47681, barcodes SN 009254 and SN 009257.[3][4]
Collection and locality
All three sheets carry the typed Flora of Thailand label of the Forest Herbarium. It gives the accession number 47681, the locality as NE: Loei, Phu Luang and the date as Sept.5,1966. It leaves the altitude blank.[5][6][7] SN 009257 also carries a packet marked K. Bunchuai; 30.[7]
Cultivation observation
The label describes the plant as a Herb, common in plantation. Flowers white.[5]
Specimen and identification
The label names the plant Cannabis sativa LINN. and gives the collector as K. Bunchuai with the number 30. It names the determiner as T. Smitinand.[5] The Leiden sheet adds A! beside the number.[5] The margin of each label carries the pencilled letters L K P C E AAH.[5][6][7] The catalogues record the plant as Cannabis sativa L.[1][3]
