Kroeng Krawia General Population 2024 is a domesticate landrace cannabis accession collected by Éloïse of the Zomia Collective in Kanchanaburi Province, Thailand.
Geography
Kroeng Krawia is located in Sangkhlaburi District, Kanchanaburi Province, Thailand, within the Tenasserim Hills landrace cannabis growing area of the Western Thailand growing region.
The area sits along the Tenasserim Hills near the Thai–Burmese border. Plants are grown at approximately 200 metres elevation.
Collection Details
This accession was collected by Éloïse in 2024. A total of 383 seeds were sourced from a cultivator in Sangkhlaburi.
This accession is a general population sample, drawn from across the plots cultivated during the 2024 growing season.
Cultivation Details
Cultivation is permitted under the Thai legal framework following legalisation in 2022.
Botanical Characteristics
Plants exhibit a christmas tree growth pattern with narrow leaves. Flower structure is loose and foxtailed.
Aroma
Complex and aromatic, with citrusy, incense-like notes.
Conservation Status
The accession is recorded at critical conservation priority. Introgression at this site is judged to be minimal. Pressure on traditional landraces is high across the wider region, driven by the spread of modern hybrids and farm-gate pricing that favours imported genetics.
