Evidentiary scope
The label places the plant at the farmstead of Kumsay, on the left bank of a river in the headwaters of the Or, in July 1933, and gives its habitat as Засоренные места. (weedy places). It gives no use and no note on cultivation. The plant grew outside cultivation. The accession is classified Feral, by inference from the label; the label does not say whether the plants descended from a crop. A single gathering does not establish a continuing population, and no conservation priority is assigned. An earlier version of this note classified the sheet as Other because a single gathering does not establish a landrace or a continuing population.
Label reading
Read twice, independently, from the holder's image (3584 × 5235 pixels). The page states only what the readings agree.

- Readings that differ. The river was read Чит… (its end unread) and Читили; the page does not name it. The settlement's first word was read Хутор and Хугор or Хутор.
- The stamped number 230030 near the barcode is a registration number of the herbarium, not a field number.
- A pencilled 1973 in the lower right corner, in the hand seen on nearly every sheet of this series in the herbarium, says nothing about its purpose and is not used.
Georeferencing
The point 49.489664, 58.520703 is the one the herbarium's database publishes for this sheet. It lies 0.6 km east of the village of Kumsay (Құмсай), OpenStreetMap way 252610705, in Mugalzhar District, Aktobe Region, on the Shiyeli river (way 252610703), a tributary that joins the Or about 4.5 km from the village, which agrees with the label's headwaters of the Or. The Shiyeli may be the label's river, whose name the readings do not agree on; the page does not say so. Other Kumsays in Aktobe Region lie away from the Or. The database states no uncertainty; the figure here covers the village and the river banks around it. SRTM gives 326 m at the village; the label gives no altitude. Basis: holder's georeference. Uncertainty: about 3 km.
Editorial treatment
Place. The label's Aktyubinsk Oblast is today's Aktobe Region, the province field's value.
