Sources
- The 1965 Fine Arts Department printing (the seventh): the title page lists the printings of 1917, 1918, 1923, 1941, 1950, 1959 and 1965, and the preface reproduces Prince Damrong's explanation of 1917 on the manuscript and its date.
- Alberts (2022), Osiris 37, on the treatise, its physicians and its printing; the accepted manuscript has no journal page numbers, so no pages are given.
- Chokevivat (2019) and Yongram et al. (2025) on its cannabis formulas and its place among the national texts.
Dates
- Damrong dates the formulas from the physicians' notes to years 3 to 5 of Narai's reign, Chulasakarat 1021–1023 (B.E. 2202–2204), and the gathering of the manuscript to the reign of Thai Sa or Borommakot.
- Yongram et al.'s "over 360 years" is their inference from the age of the text, attributed to them.
Name
- The title is the form Alberts uses. Yongram et al. call it the Kamphi That Phra Narai, and Boontham et al. (2022) คัมภีร์ธาตุพระนารายณ์.
