Evidentiary scope

The article rests on the RSC listing for Hopar Valley and on the Kwik Seeds listing of the same line. Kwik Seeds is the shop RSC calls its other site (RSC, Hemp & Multipurpose). The listings give the valley ("upper Hopar Valley"), the 2022 sourcing and a description of the plants, including purple colouring seen at collection. They name no village or farmer. RSC's placement of the line between Indica- and Sativa-type taxonomies is its own hedged suggestion ("perhaps"). No conservation priority has been entered; the rating is left for review. Georeferencing

The listings name the upper Hopar Valley and give a latitude of 36° N. OpenStreetMap names five villages "Hoper" in English (Ratal, Hankushal, Brushal, Holshal and Goshoshal), all in Nagar Khas Tehsil, Nagar District. The coordinate is the middle of those five village points, rounded to two decimal places: 36.23, 74.76. Every village lies within 2 km of it. Editorial treatment

Accession ID. RSC-PAK-GIL-0120220001 takes GIL from Gilgit-Baltistan, entered without a suffix as the naming convention does for states. The month digits are 01. Hispar Valley (2023) is RSC-PAK-GIL-0120230001.
Spelling. The listings write "Hopar"; OpenStreetMap writes "Hoper". The page follows the listings.
Page type. The Hopar Valley is linked as a place but is not entered as a growing area; that classification is Éloïse's call.
Collector. Angus, as on the other accessions whose sourcing line reads "Landrace Genetics".
Purposes. As on Hispar Valley: sieved charas and bhang entered as Recreation, culinary seed as Food, and "Charas (sieved resin)" as processing method Dry-sift.

Source discrepancies

Height. RSC: "Approx. 2 meters". Kwik Seeds: "1 – 4 meters", which the RSC listing also gave until April 2025 (below). The Hispar Valley listings differ the other way round (see Talk:RSC-PAK-GIL-0120230001).
Genetics line. RSC: "Karakoram Cannabis Landrace". Kwik Seeds: "Traditional Karakoram Domesticate (Landrace)". The RSC listing had the Kwik Seeds line in March 2023 (below).
Description. RSC: "An Indica-type cannabis landrace"; "from near the frontier or interface between Central and South Asian cannabis". Kwik Seeds: "A mostly broad-leafleted landrace"; "from the approximate zone of intersection between Central and South Asian cannabis". In March 2023 the RSC listing opened with the Kwik Seeds wording (below).

The Wayback Machine holds 12 versions of the RSC listing, from March 2023 to April 2026, and all were read. All give the 2022 harvest.

The March 2023 version has the genetics line "Traditional Karakoram Domesticate" and the opening "A mostly broad-leafleted landrace", as Kwik Seeds still does. The current wording appears from October 2023.
The height is "1 – 4 meters", as on Kwik Seeds, from March 2023 to April 2025, and "Approx. 2 meters" from September 2025. The article cites the versions of 28 March 2023 and 25 April 2025.

RSC's file names date two of them to the 2022 harvest; the listing itself does not caption them, so the captions say only what each image shows. The flower close-up also appears on the Hispar Valley listing under another file name. RSC masked or cropped the faces of the people in the field photographs.
