Evidentiary scope
The article rests on the RSC listing for Burmese and on the Kwik Seeds listing of the same line. Kwik Seeds is the shop RSC calls its other site (RSC, Hemp & Multipurpose). RSC describes its 2025 stock as "collected direct from Shan State". It also says a cultivator from Laos brought the seed back to grow at home in Laos. Kwik Seeds names that cultivator as the collector. The listings do not make clear whether the 2025 stock was collected in Shan State in 2025 or grown in Laos from the cultivator's seed. The sourcing type Point of Origin and Autochtonous Yes follow RSC's "collected direct" and are open to that question. The reviews are customers' and growers' reports quoted by the listings. Georeferencing
The listings name only Shan State; RSC gives a latitude of 21° N. The coordinate entered at creation, 21.0, 97.0, lies in Taunggyi Township, Shan State (OpenStreetMap reverse lookup), at the stated latitude. It is now written as 21.00, 97.00, the two-decimal form the wiki's privacy policy uses; the point is unchanged. It marks the state, not a collection site. Éloise 23:19, 16 September 2026 (+07)
Editorial treatment
Conform pass of 16 September 2026. The article was compared with the current RSC listing and with the Kwik Seeds listing. It was rewritten so that each statement is attributed to one of them, with CS1 citations.

Source discrepancies
- Collector. RSC: an aficionado and cultivator from Laos "brought back seed to cultivate at home in Laos". Kwik Seeds: the seed was "collected direct from Shan State ... by an aficionado and cultivator from Laos".
- Photograph. Kwik Seeds says its photo shows garden plants from a germination test. RSC's listing carried the same sentence from 2021 to December 2023.
- Reviews. RSC quotes a customer and an indoor farmer. Kwik Seeds quotes a different grower, whom RSC's listing also quoted from October 2022 to December 2023.
- Characteristics. RSC adds "stimulating, psychedelic" to the summary line.
- Yunnan claim. RSC extends it to "alleged 'Burmese' strains"; Kwik Seeds does not. In 2021 and May 2022 RSC's listing named "'Burmese Indica' and 'Yunnan Indica' lines". From October 2022 to December 2023 it named only "'Yunnan Indica' lines", as Kwik Seeds does. The "alleged 'Burmese'" wording appears from May 2024.
- Archived versions. The Wayback Machine holds 13 versions of the RSC listing, from November 2021 to April 2026; 12 were read. The listing has offered three stocks:
- seed dated 2021, from November 2021 to December 2023;
- "New winter 2023 stock", from May 2024 to August 2025;
- "New 2025 stock", from November 2025.
- Every version describes the seed as collected directly from Shan State and names the cultivator from Laos. The Kwik Seeds text matches the October 2022 version except for its sourcing year, which Kwik Seeds gives as 2025. The versions of November 2021 and May 2022 added: "Whether this accession from Burma is pristine we can't yet claim with confidence; however, this is a safe assumption for the time-being." That concerns the earlier stock and is not used. The indoor grower's review first appears in May 2024 and the customer's in January 2025, both before the 2025 stock was offered. The listing does not say which stock they describe. The classification "C. sativa subsp. indica var. indica" appears only from 2021 to May 2024. The gallery adds five more photographs, uploaded under fair use at reduced resolution. One is the only photograph on the Kwik Seeds listing, which that listing describes as garden plants from a germination test. Earlier lots have their own accessions
The listing's sourcing line has named three stocks in turn, and the two earlier ones are now Burmese General Population 2021 and Burmese General Population 2023. Each is a separate collection from Shan State, dated by the versions that offered it, and all three are linked as same-population accessions from the two new pages.
