Evidentiary scope

The page rests on the RSC listing for Kerala, its archived versions of 9 June 2023 and 17 April 2024, and RSC's blog post of August 2023. They establish that the seed on sale is the third generation from the 2015 collection, grown ex situ in 2022 through open pollination. They do not say where the grow was made, or by whom. No conservation priority is entered: a rating belongs to the collected population, at RSC-IND-KER-0120150001. Éloise 04:02, 18 September 2026 (+07)

Editorial treatment

  • Accession ID. RSC-IND-KER-0120150001-R2. The parent is -R1, the second generation, not the collection: RSC's own counting makes this the third generation from the collection, so the material descends through the second.
  • Harvest date. sample_harvest_date is 2022, the year RSC gives for the maintenance grow. collection_date stays 2015, the date the source population was sampled.
  • Photograph. The customer photograph from RSC's August 2023 post shows a plant grown from maintenance-grow seed, which is this accession, and its caption says so.
  • Sourcing type. Multi-generation reproduction, two reproductions removed from the collection. Éloise 04:02, 18 September 2026 (+07)

Descriptive name

The descriptive name now leads with the year and the holder's acronym: 2015 RSC Kerala Third-generation Reproduction, where it read Kerala Third-generation Reproduction 2015. A reproduction's descriptive name carries the year first and names the reproducer, and this is applied to every reproduction in this corpus.

The acronym is the holder's, the same code the accession ID carries. It does not assert who conducted the grow-out: these listings name nobody, and the rule was given for a line whose reproducer the listing does not state either.

The page title is the accession ID and is unchanged, so no link breaks. Earlier entries on this page that quote the old name are left as they were written: they record what was decided then. Éloise 05:18, 18 September 2026 (+07)
