Evidentiary scope

The label records the plant as an exotic herb in a plantation it attributes to the Maeo. It records no local name and no use. It is a single gathering. It shows neither a continuing population nor a living germplasm holding, so it supports neither a landrace nor a feral classification. The accession is classified Other. No conservation priority is assigned.

Georeferencing

The label names Siriphum Waterfall in Doi Inthanon National Park at 1,800 m. OpenStreetMap maps the waterfall in Chom Thong District (node/2262155286). The infobox georeferences it at 18.55, 98.51. It stands at 1,469 m on SRTM, about 330 m below the label's altitude. The label places the plant around the waterfall without saying in which direction. The point is a locality point for the place the label names, not a collection point. It places the gathering to within about 3 km. The district field follows it.

Editorial treatment

Maeo is quoted as written. It reads as a spelling of the name that the labels of Garrett 851 (1933) give as Mêo, which David Filbeck recorded in 1987 as having given way to Hmong (Journal of the Siam Society 75, p. 129). The article does not gloss it, because the label does not.

The label's spellings Canabis and Canabidaceae are quoted as written. The collector field uses the label's full name, Chamlong Phengklai.
